Olivia Wang ’25 loves to surf. With support from Fischlowitz Travel Fellowship, she traveled to California, Wisconsin, and Florida to explore the sport.

This year’s recipient of the Fischlowitz Travel Fellowship, Chikako Inoue ’26 , will explore the history of comfort women in World War II.

Students led a presentation on their home country, Bulgaria, as part of the “Middle of Everywhere” series hosted by the Office of International Student Affairs (OISA).

While the OISA is the primary resource for international students on campus, host families offer an invaluable additional support system for new Grinnellians from around the world. 

Beyond the events, the food, and the fun sponsored by the International Student Organization, ISO’s most important role is to create a home for international students at Grinnell.
